About
What began as curiosity for the plants around me became a journey of reconnection — to the land, my ancestors, and the wisdom they left behind.
My story…
A diasporic photographer and videographer specializing in community-based projects. After traveling to various countries and witnessing the living conditions of Indigenous peoples, I was inspired to pursue humanitarian change. After Hurricane María, my brother and I visited all 78 municipalities of Puerto Rico, interviewing local residents and creating the documentary María se Fue. Eventually moved to the land my grandfather cultivated for 50 years. Before he passed, he had a dream of growing asparagus. I planted the seeds in his honor, and from that moment, I became obsessed.
In just three years, I went from not recognizing culantro to foraging wild greens and teaching others how to identify the structures of endemic plants. I changed my eating habits and committed to spreading the message: "Eat your medicine."
Through practicing this in my community, I’ve been learning how to apply plant-based medicinal wisdom on my grandfather’s farm—creating meals from Seed to Table. I grow food to sustain my household and to share with my community.
I use my online platform to remind people of ancestral ways of healing through medicinal plants. My cultivation method is rooted in the philosophy of replicating nature—with a food forest growing in harmony.
